Hello people, Recently I bought my Hatteras 50' Convertible. Manufactured in 1993 year. The yacht is in Florida, Palm Beach. I have not inspected it yet, because I am with my family in Washington. Surely, I want to replace the bulbs and upgrade the electricity. How many can it cost? (Approximately) I want to plan all expenses. And the last question can I install the floodlight on it? What size/type? Thanks
Why would you want to upgrade the electricity and how? There should be nothing wrong with the electricity. If you're going to change the bulbs, LED's are about $12 each and the warm white G IV wafers mimic the Halogens. SO, you're saying you bought this boat without seeing it or having it surveyed???
It has some problems with the generator. I trusted the purchase of the yacht to my brother he inspected it with the marine electric. He said the generator not in a good condition. Also, I want to reinstall some light fixtures.
Given that it's over 20 years old, your best bet is probably to replace the generator rather than dumping $5k plus into it. If it only needs a few things, then fix it. If it needs major work, replace it. Best to have it evaluated by the manufacturers dealer.
Hope our brother retained surveyors to check everything critical or you may have more than light bulbs and a genset to worry about
Where can I order the generator? I will be shipping it to Florida. Where to order the light fixtures and other stuff I checked this site LINK and MEMBERSHIP REMOVED I can not be sure in the service. I do not consider Ebay, because I’m still waiting the headphones from them (3 months)
This is a joke, right? Oh wait... Poster lives in Washington ... Assuming DC and not the state it explains it all
The whole thread should be given the chop as it is a dead link in reality and anyine who finds it by searching will be very disappointed.
