White (cheap) vinegar is what you use in a sani line. After any treatments rinse with plenty of water and pump out several times. I still think it's a simple stator problem.
Exactly. and not holding the button long enough to get the solids through the pump will cause it. From what i've learned these pumps are fairly bulletproof, but you can't let the solids stop before the pump.
What I've done to get this to work is "close down" my intake ball valve to the point where the outgoing bowl contents have a chance to exit the bowl with less water being added to the bowl. This is a temporary fix until I can get the parts to replace the stator and rotor. So far it seems to be working 100% better than before.
I went on the Raz Marine site and they also praise the Galley Maid Toilets saying not to get rid of the "Galley Maids"!
Well yeah, because all of their income is pretty much derived from rebuilding them. Last I checked you could also buy brand new galley maid pumps.
It seems like ancient history that I replaced my Galleymaid toilets with Raritans that actually work. No toilet problems since.
I just fixed my toilet finally. I replaced the Rotor/T-cutter and new Stator. What was really interesting was the build up of calcium and slag inside all of the plumbing pipes. I cleaned all the pipes and replaced the parts with new and it operates like new. Thanks to all who helped me through this!
Everybody thinks there saving water or capacity with short flushes. Complete flushes, expressively the beer flushes has to complete. Crystalline and more starts settling and forming in your lines. Chasing your lines down with cheap vinegar every 6 months will help also.
Can you describe the switch panel? Large green button. Toggle switch and a small push button like a horn button. This is on a 1977 Hatteras 58’ Yacht Fish. Thanks.
Your posting on a 9 year old thread. If you are having a problem, Lets start fresh with your issue. What is not working?
Capt Ralph I found the owners manual. I didn’t realize the post was so old. I deal directly with Galley Maid but it was like midnight when I posted. I was trying to figure out what the toggle switch was supposed to do. All good. Thanks for the response! CapHo
