    Hello Folks

Now that I have our engine controls back up and running, I can move on to the next project. We need to get our dinette reupholstered.

The dinette is not overly complicated, simple U shaped seating area with cushion backs.

We've had a few people look at it, but, the prices are coming back at over $3K for what appears to be a fairly straight forward job and not expensive materials.

Does anyone know of a reputable and reasonable upholster in Palm Beach area?

    Thanks for any recommendations.

    Jim

In my experience, if you're getting multiple quotes in the same range- that's the price. If you find someone to do it for significantly less, you're either getting a bro's discount or will get a sub-par job.

I agree with Ken.....I've seen the work from the cheap price and it's usually Chinease pleather that off-gasses a nasty smell for months and falls apart in 2 years.

If the price sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Seldom can one service provider offer the same product and quality as others but at significantly less.

You're asking for a reputable and reasonable upholsterer. That seems to imply you don't think those who have quoted you are reasonable. If so, what do you base that on?

    Thanks for the feedback guys.
The price quotes that we have received just seem out of line with logic for the amount of work required $3000 to $4800 for 7-8 cushions and non-exotic materials. I guess that we might be getting the Palm Beach Premium included in the price.
I presume that those that have quoted are reputable, but I really don't know any of them, so I thought I would ask if there was something / someone that I am missing.
    Thanks again.
