    I am looking probably at 53-55 footers, the bigger Posts are too expensive for me. I have to check out the 50 Post a little more to see if it will give me the room that I am looking for. My concerns are a huge salon with full size refrigerator, and the ability to install at big tv, good size heads, and two queen staterooms, although one stateroom could be side by side twins. Secondly I am not all that thrilled with Manns as the power choice.

    You're 46 will go in a minute! Mans aren't so bad. Mine have been great. The 50 has as much room or more than many comparable 52-53's IMO. Tough to find your layout though. Good luck. I anxiously await to see what arrives in that slip.

    Beau, I do admit that the Post 46 and 50 do offer more room than the bigger boats, I am gonna move slow on this one, until I find what I like, than I will strike quickly.. I hope our Post friends will pass the word around about mine being available. Although this is a little premature if it's the right deal I would buy even if I still have my 46, so if anyone knows of a quality sportfish let me know.

    How big is your slip?

    How about that 65 Donzi that is on YF.
    Bamboo I think.
    Owner has come down in price.

    BTW, If Mans are a show stopper for you, and you are OK with Detroits, there are 50 Posts around with 8-92s.

    Lou, there used to be a 72 or 74 viking sportfish in my slip, there are only 2'or 3 Posts with 8-92's the problem is there is no engine room due to the center or front fuel tank, I think it was moved in 1994 models. The thousand hour service on the Mann grenades are quite costly, around 25k

    There are many boats between 58- 65 out there that are amazing deals, but I don't want to fall into the trap. They burn 100 plus gallons an hour

    If money time, and space was not an issue, Id get into one of those 77 or 80' Enclosed Bridge Donzi's. I was on the Cricket in Ft Lauderdale a few years ago. Wow what a boat, full beam master, 5 state rooms, and a crew cabin with engine room access to 16-92s! I actually liked it better than the newer 77 E/B Hatteras. The only thing missing was an elevator.

    would u consider a 53 Ocean?
    There is a lot of boat for the money, especially if you are a North Shore cruiser and not looking for an open water canyon boat.

    There is a 53 Ocean for sale next door to me, I hate to say the quality is just not there, a few turn offs. They are a lot of bang for the buck. I am not going bigger than 55..

    The 50' Post is a good choice, but I'm not a big fan of the galley being kind of in a hole. Another boat to consider would be a 54' Hatteras from 2000 or so on. Cabo 48' is another choice.

    I definitely want a Sportfish or convertible, I do want to cruise at least 22 knots which is where I am now, the 52 Hat with 892's will struggle to do that cruise speed and fuel burn will double, not to mention many were galley down, and galley up didn't have a full size fridge. Also many I think many of the Hats previous owners must have painted the interiors white in a way to modernize the interior, in my opinion ruining the boat. I am gonna be very picky with my next purchase, I know the things I am looking for and what's important for me.
