Venus got a lot of flak when she appeared, and some people still don't like her design, but seeing a yacht irl can sometimes make a difference. I have the impression Venus is now more appreciated than when she was launched. Same story for "A".
I'm still trying to get used to Venus. Reminds me more of architecture instead of naval architecture. Thanks for the video. Always look forward to them.
Crazy Me Pictures and videos sometimes do not do justice to a man made object, because these media are only bidimensional. Watching this object in reality, may change ones opinion obout it. But for sure, this is an controversial design and I still believe, it was wanted to be that way. That means, one will love it, others will hate it, and the neutral observer will make his little jokes about it. And one may get used to it. Maybe one day, RM Elegant will get more ugly again .
recent photo i've taken this picture at Hellevoetsluis, when i got lost trying to get to the "Moonen 100". i think she does not have a low profile and i wonder how the view is from inside to outside?
A few yachts have been recently delivered, Amels "Apollo" and "Kamalaya"...as well as Heesen's 50-meter Adler-esq "Crazy Me".
The sliding doors on each side of the top deck that are visible on your photo apparently hide windows.
So if they hidethe window then what is the point of covering them like that? Even though the cover slides out, how will one have a nice view out with the vertical part of the cover blocking the view. Unless...that actuates downward.
I was contracted by Gary Grant to design the Adler 2. I think she still looks pretty nice now ten years on. All CNC tooling and carbon fiber layup. As for the Crazy Me, that is a whole nother story... Sorry, me a noob here, so...
