It is not only the vast combined knowledge of yachtforums that is so persuasive, its also the sense of humour. This english, anglo-american type of humour paired with the special sense of humour from down under, one can only find on such an international (global) forum. I love it!

Congratulation to "Mr. Yachtforums" and everybody contributing to this achievement. It is nice to be a member of this forum.

It's too soon to speculate, but at our current pace of 18,841 visitors a day, we're about to shatter last month's record... by a large margin! Should approach 600,000 visitors in April.

Perhaps, then again, if the Progressives in the Forum continue to cause Threads to be closed, the thrill may wane.

Carl, can you tell us what is actually the number of 'regular readers' per month?

To many variables. Sometimes people are logged in, sometimes they are not. Or they may log-on from a different IP address such as home, office, cell, sat, iPad, hotel, etc. In any case, not numbers I track, nor should I disclose. It might make some of us look like junkies amped-up on kilobytes and bandwidth.

It's official, we're going over 600,000 visitors for the month of April. Shortly after midnight tonight, the system will total today's traffic and we'll have the final stats. We're currently at 597,207 visitors as of noon, April 30th.

And wasn't April particularly boring? No hull delaminations, sinkings, captains abandoning ship - just regular boat people asking questions and sharing information.

Must be that word continues to spread that YF is the credible go-to forum.

    Congratulations!

There is often a correlation between events such as Judy listed and increased traffic. Although our traffic has steadily increased over the years, the past two months has seen a ridiculous jump, with no 'events' to warrant the same. In discussing this with other webmasters that are part of a council I'm involved in, this is a sign that a website is reaching critical mass.

While a few folks on YF are quick to congratulate me, the credit goes to yourselves. We all built this together. :)
