I had to cringe at the sensationalism by Mail Online (and the media in general) when I saw this story about a reported $1,000,000 dollar Donzi that cracked in half while wave jumping. My guess is they think fewer people would read the article if it was a $150,000 Donzi, which is a more realistic value... Whatever the case, it's clear the owner/operator has more dollars than sense. And now, the half-wit has half a boat... Not a Don Aronow built Donzi!
When the cat's away; the mice will play. The dirty rats. Welcome to the party (It's only been two months). http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/popular-yacht-topics/6313-oops-pics-quotes-19.html#post166735
Just curious. Is this what you meant by "Show Me the Link and I'll Show You a Shirt!"? T'is a link to YF and t'is relevant to a tread; but then again, I could just be an overly enthusiastic member. http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/g...;-shipping-april-pic-attached.html#post169978
So many morons, so little time,..... Unfortunately, boat owners' failure to remove himself from the gene pool may prevent his being chosen as a Darwin Award Nominee. Too bad. Other selectees can be found here: Simple Boating Safety Tips based on 9 Darwin Award Winners
A link to YF on YF wouldn't have much SEO value, but I'm appreciative that you always reference threads on YF and rarely, if ever, post external links. Might have to throw an extra shirt in the mail to you.
Clearly not an Outerlimits! He needs one of these for water like that! I'll even give him driving lessons Funny, I just pulled up this pic from 10 years ago & my back started hurting again! LOL
If I recall, cracking hulls isn't off Limits to Outer, either? Good to see you on the forum old friend. Let me know the next time the Sailor Returns.
Thats a great picture - thanks for posting. When you sold it i assume you advertised as: one owner, mature lady who used it access her home on the rivier.
Yes, it is a painting. Yes, the artist certainly exercised creative license in recreating the actual event. That being said, I think it is a great image and would love to have the original hanging in the house. Most Bertram owners have said those very words when at sea in bad conditions. I know I have.
Bertram or not if that was real he was in big trouble. I've never owned a Bertram but have had friends who did and like you they loved them. Going offshore with them it's easy to see why.
