    a few days ago i took this is, it was going through the ballard bridge on it's way to the lock's and out to sea

    What a handsome ship. I was looking for information - what yard, year, etc. I "goofled" NOAA ships and found a surprisingly good website that has pictures of their vessels. Click on the vessel and it brings up the information on the lead page: NOAA Ocean Explorer: Vessels

    Actually, that is a pretty nice design for that type of vessel (oceanography/explorer). She reminds me of the "Ronald Brown".
