Maxi Transatlantic Race 2012 - Powered by Yellowbrick Tracking Ok.. I know it's against the Rules... but here is a SAIL BOAT link... for those missing the Days of Yore...

That would be Cape Arrow a Farr design 100 by Southernwind... its not a slug... gone 30 knots in a fresh breeze. Why Cape Arrow is towing the line is in the hope of the shorter route pays off with enough wind to win. The others are taking a chance with a longer route and better breezes... playing the weather patterns for an advantage. No rule bending just gamesmanship.

I was thinking that, a smarter line (pending wind and weather). As a smoker, I would of thought about that myself. Didn't realize a rule threat. Kinda thought, any line that worked within the same ocean, straight or great arc, was in da rules.
Somebody did something somewhere when nobody was watching... Yep that's it. #1 guy in port, #2 guy is still 500 miles out. The rest, way further.... Or, darn fast boat, congrats.
