I saw one of the prettiest SF boats of my life yesterday afternoon and I hope one of you guys will know her name/builder based upon my description. She was headed north past LYC in Lauderdale yesterday afternoon. She is around 80+ feet, dark blue hull, white topside, open fly bridge, varnished transom and entire cockpit. She looked new and likely from a Carolina custom builder. Her foredeck looked long enough to land a small plane. Very graceful lines and smooth all the way to the transom with no sharp steps or breaks. I would really like to locate this Architecht and builder to discuss a project I have in mind. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,
The lack of a Name and Pic is why I posted here. Hopefully a SF guy in the know will recognize the description and point me in the right direction...
There is a nice looking 1984 87' Feadship Gentleman's Sport Fishing Yacht with a blue hull in Fort Lauderdale. I don't own a picture that I can publish so do a search and tell us if it is the one. It's name is "Patriot". Thanks.
Patriot - Feadship SF AlfredZ, I think you are talking about Patriot, the 87' Feadship SF, however she doesn't have an open flybridge. Link to B&B's listing. She was re-done at Derektors, in FLL. Truly top notch. Used FEADSHIP Gentleman's Sport Yacht - Motor Yacht 1984 for sale in Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States
The 'Ravaganza' by Jarret Bay matches this description but is only 70'. Here is a link to the builders site. 70′ Ravaganza | Jarrett Bay Boatworks
Sounds like it could have been the QueMas from ACY. I don't know if they are on the tournament circuit right now, but I'm shootin from the hip.
Alfred, thanks, I know Patriot and was aboard her while she was being built in Holland. One of my favorites but not the girl I saw the other day. Thanks for the help though... Any other ideas please share.
Thanks, Jorge. I visited the Bayliss site and although very pretty boats, not the maker. Almost every Boat, Bayliss, Merritt, JB all have a step in the shearline right at the rear of the house. A classic and attractive look for sure. The SF I saw had one clean slightly arching line from stem to stern. It looked something like a D. Blount design but softer. It made the boat look much longer then she was with a subtle grace and elegance that made me drool! I'll keep looking. Going to walk docks in the rain today... Any other ideas greatly appreciated! Thanks Capt, but not an American. Much softer lines and no visible chine forward. She could of had a chine but it was not apparent at the distance I saw her. Plus her hull was deep blue and not light blue like Que Mas. Thanks though and shoot any others that you think might help locate her. TBW
