    1986 saw the launch of another Bannenberg designed yacht : the 180'33 LADY GHISLAINE.

    She was originally designed for a brother of the Saudi arms dealer Adnan Kashoggi but eventually when that project did not go ahead, her first owner, the late media mogul Robert Maxwell stepped in and he was her owner untill his death near the Canary Islands in November 1991.

    After the death of Maxwell and the collapse of his financial empire, the yacht was impounded and placed on the market through order of the receivers... She was snapped up by her present owner was renamed her Lady Mona K and who also ha her refitted at Amels : a new stern was added. In this photo you can see the already refitted Lady Mona K next to Kingdom at La Napoule near Cannes in 1997.

    Welcome to YachtForums, I am sure you will find a lot of information on yachts here, but not on owners as we usually don´t reveal names if they are not very associated with the yacht already.

    But last time I was in the same port as Lady Mona K, there was a very nice family that owned her.
