Photos of QUINTA ESSENTIA with her tender going into her flooded tender bay on port quarter: Superyate "Quinta Essentia" - a set on Flickr Regards Ken
A pic of the new 55-meter "Serenity" with the rest of her body! SERENITY - ShipSpotting.com - Ship Photos and Ship Tracker
She's a good looking yacht. Regarding your 'New Launching' for Serenity, I believe she is part of the steel hull displacement series and not the aluminum hull semi-displacement series so that may be fairly inaccurate.
Could someone tell me what is the grey structure surrounding the balcony of the suite in the forward hull? Is some kind of privacy screen? http://photos2.marinetraffic.com/ais/showphoto.aspx?photoid=514496&size=full
It should not surprise me if it is "fenders" like they have to use on all protruding bridge wings and such that is in fashion right now...
Yes, they must cover it all since normal fenders would just move away. If this is what it is..., it could also be storm shutters..?
Seems like the brand-new 55-meter "Serenity" is completed now. She is sitting in Gibraltar in the below link to the photo a few days ago. Seems like she has the same screens/fenders/buffers/ whatever they are...around the balcony as well. http://photos.marinetraffic.com/ais/showphoto.aspx?photoid=682875&size=full
Lars...check this pic posted by Daniel... maybe this shows it...with how the white fender is kind-of sitting on it to protect the bulge of the balcony...
Just to keep those of you out there that are interested, interested! The first hull of the 3700s series that was built as the "Lady Ingeborg"...has a new name. "Clia" is her new name...you might remember her previous name was "Necklace II" but she was finally sold.
Isn't it an extra way for the captain to check how the yacht is going, e.g. in a lock? Can't imagine it a real fenders.
Not Heesen news but a video that I enjoyed watch of the "Blind Date" squeezing in at St. Tropez. Not a nice name to have when you are in close quarters docking with other yachts Impressionnant amarrage de Blind Date à Saint-Tropez - YouTube
