Allison Transmisson question.

    I have an 1983 54' Bertram with 800hp detroit 12v71's and Allison Tranny's. I have two questions. Can the filters be cleaned or are they a replaceable cartridge? Also, How do you pump the oil out for an oil change. Any help is appreciated.

    Most likely a Twin Disc MG514. The filter is a replacement item. There should be a tag that tells you the model and BOM of the gear. The filters are different for an A,B, or C model gear. Most 54's had a quick connect oil change system.
