They design custom and production yachts.

Hunt Yachts started building yachts designed by C. Raymond Hunt and Associates in the 20 and 30 foot range, which I have been aboard, and was impressed by their fit and finish. They have since started building larger boats, which I have not personally seen, but from the pictures available online they do look like a very high quality product.

Thats the one I was thinking of. Its sistership used to be based in St.Maarten.

Didn't know she had a sistership - this one's been up for sale on the east coast for a very long time now

The one I know was a blue hull, maybe a little bigger but was a Ray Hunt and beautifully finished. It used to be stern-to near the Soggy Dollar Bar in St.Maartens in the late '90s.

Not exactly the same, but there has been a couple of Lyman Morse, Hunt designs called Tumblehome in these waters..?

The Hunt Hinckley is a one-off, there is no sistership.

I think there are about 5 or 6 yachts that were built all using the same mold, originally built for Lee Wilbur of Southwest Harbor, Maine if my memory serves me correctly.

"Excel" was another, built in the late 80's.

Whaler 13... best design ever!

I have a 1972 13' Whaler with a '72 25HP Evinrude at my summer home... and I spend just about every day on it when I'm there. I like to think the appreciation of the simpler pleasures is a sign of aging gracefully... bottom line, the basic whaler design is a classic, and I prefer the old 72 to a newer one (and was **** lucky to find the one I have...), and in the last 5 years I have has many pleasant memories on her as I do on larger chartered yachts.

As to the Hunt reputation... I grew up around Cape Cod / Rhode Island and his designs were always considered among the best. My home base in Maine is around the corner from Lyman Morse, they run a top-notch operation. Not familiar with Hunt Yachts as a construction yard... but the pedigree would point toward quality.

Please don't remind me. I'm surprised I can still walk after all of the years I took a beating running around in my 13' Whaler when I was a kid. Dry yes, but a kidney pounder yes.

Axel D was made by Lyman-Morse to a Raymond Hunt design.

The Hunt 68 (nee Global Arrow) is an Express Cruiser. I don't see any indication they will be offering it in a flybridge option or version?

Nice looking yacht, but doesnt look like it is in production as yet.
