We are taking out first long trip , 190 miles on our recentely purchased 1990 3207 with Crusaders 350s , 690 hrs on each , recent tune up and replaced impellers, ect, ect. Did a 4 hr trip across Lake Michigan, (80 miles) . Any suggestions, will be going from Racine Wisc to Sturgen bay wisc. in mid August.
Have all the GPS , radar ect. I don't have a generator and need one or need to learn about this inverter . Have 3 batteries , all good. Is it worth spending the money on a generator if we only do one big trip a year or is a invertor the way to go.

So we can better answer your question please list everything you need 120V for. In that size boat you generally only need a generator for Air conditioning.

we have a 3207 with the gen set. We use it to run the air when we are out at anchoring for the day. Also the its on a dedicated battery so no worries if we leave the radio or any thing else on to long. Not that is a good idea to drain your batteries but you can run it to charge up the batteries.
