There are a number of "Imagine's" around...from Trinity, Westport, even sail yachts from Alloy Yachts. The last Imagine... Trinity built in I think 2007 has been sold and renamed since then...She is called "Meridian".
There was another 164'Trinity delivered in May, 2010 with the name Imagine... Just curious if it was the same owner as the Amels 212 Imagine. Or maybe just a popular name.
When I said the last Trinity, I meant the last one outside of the 2010 new build...You never know if there is a connection
First photos of Imagine, looks really good (and she's also quite fast, doing more than 20 knots) http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/pt/showallphotos.aspx?mmsi=245999250
The next Limited Editions in the 171/7 line arrived pretty recently at Amels finishing facilities. These are Hulls 460 and 461.
Just saw some interior pics of the "Imagine" (hull 1 of the LE212). Not sure I am as impressed as I thought I would have been though. Maybe it is because the pics were taken while she was still in the indoor building hall and around the yard? http://www.fraseryachts.com/Charter/charter_gallery.aspx?YachtID=Y4_CAR_MC
I understand it is just a co-incidence. The name is inspired by a well known song title, (as was his last yacht albeit from a different song title).
Yep. Before they appear as though they were taken in a hurry while the yacht was at the yard. I have both of the brochures with the first set of photos and then the second set.
I agree, the first set of photos really DID NOT do the yacht's interior any justice. These new set really bring out what it is about and if she looks this good in these I imagine how she is in person.
Im starting to become a fan of her interior but I am not a fan of the exterior. It looks like there was a small portion added on the sun deck to accomadate a touch and go helicopter pad which throws off the lines of the yacht. Something else, though, makes me view her as not one of the best looking yachts out there from an exterior perspective.
I don't knwo if you already read that , but I post it , because it has many informations about the different Limited Editions and the yard , really cool . Take your time and a look on it if you want. http://php.*****************/editor/assets/news/INSIDE_AMELS_2010LR.pdf
The first LE 177 'Spirit' is now for charter , you can see some pictures of her on YCO . The interior I saw looks greate, I love it!
Maybe Ken the exterior will grow on you...on "Imagine". Her exterior is simple yet so detailed at the same time. Lots to look at on this higher rez photo. Come on Ken! http://photos.marinetraffic.com/ais/showphoto.aspx?photoid=483965&size=full
Not gonna happen. The proportions seem off. I am not a fan of her lines. It just looks off. I see the aft overhangs are too long. It needs to stair step down more. All this is just personal preference but I am picky in the yachts that I like. I much rather choose a semi-custom 60m Lurssen, Abeking Rasmusen, or CMN yacht in the size range than the looks of this Amels. Granted, you might pay more for it but it has better styling imo.
