Amels News

Amels advised back in January that they have at least ten newbuild projects that are in various degrees of construction, engineering and design. To cope with the increased work-load, Amels has undertaken phased work on the Vlissingen production facilities.

At the time, Amels was supposed to have been nearing the completion of a state-of-the-art covered finishing bay for the easy transition of barge-bound hulls. Recently, a 150M long finishing quay was completed.

Works have allowed for the seamless transition for the Amels hulls from East Vlissingen to the main facility from. The process has been seen in action with the 171 foot series yachts and soon to be with the 212 foot series. The most recent hull to arrive at the Amels finishing facility was hull 455, the 5th vessel in the popular production 171 foot series.

"My Shanti" for sale

Amels' 65-meter "My Shanti" has been put up for sale as many of you know already. She is forsale through Merle Wood.

65-meter "My Shanti" is sold! Merle Wood successfully completed the business and finished her on a 103-Million dollar asking price! All I can say is wow.

The 70.5-meter "Boadicea" was recently sold through central agents Burgess. She had been on the market for a while but finally has been sold. Another successful sale especially after the sale of "Maltese Falcon".

After being sold the "My Shanti" has been renamed "Aquarius"!

Amels Open House

Hey, did anyone here happen to attend the Amels Open House that was supposed to have taken place October 10th?

After 4 years after her launch, I have finally come across some pictures of the interor of the Amels "Gu".

Amels 242-foot design? I have seen this in their latest newsletter, interesting...It is the 5th 'design' in the Limited Editions series of yachts from the Dutch yacht builder and shares many similarities with their 212 platform. Interesting things coming from Amels!

I believe the Amels Sea Axe 50-meter "Oberon" is here in Barbados at the Bridgetown Harbour... Not easy to make out in the dark but it looks like her.

I confirm, she is here. Interesting, carrying around some toys for the "TITAN".

It appears that the first 212 hull will be called "Imagine".
