I think that both look like mildly converted cruise ships...

I agree where Ocean is coming from, I think the paint scheme does alot to help "Katara". I'msure if she were painted in the same sand colour she would look alot stockier and fatter. The alternating white and dark blue helps to break up and hide some of her mass.

"Katara" with a large heli onboard...Maybe it is her's or they are just testing her with a heli aboard doing heliborne tests.

No it is larger than those, It is the size of an S-76 or Dolphin (coast guard version). I didn't put a link because I do not want to flood the forums with too many links all the time to the same website... The pic can be found on Marine Traffic, search for "Katara" and its the first photo...
