wow a name from the past, Schaefers ~ many transits of the C&D canal years back with always a FAST running current
always impressed with the flag etiquette provided to vessels transiting the canal, but no longer done with new ownership :(prayers offered for those involved (Amen)

I found some different videos on this event. Looks like out-bound current was really ripping.
Not sure if this affected the grounding. One video shows her flooded outside the red.

    Interesting video.
    Not to diminish the nature of these great creatures or to degrade Judy's nice post, but kind of reminds me of my second wife;
Her and her family had many tentacles to rob me of my money and life, their combined brains were always plotting.
If you remember the Star Trek show, the Salk Sucker, these blood & bank suckers put that creature to shame.
They could not beat themselves out of a wet paper bag but all of those brains worked together to near kill me.

Oh, big differences; This clan had no heart between the lot of them.

Ouch, how did you manage to get out of that one?
(You still have money and life going for you so they weren’t all that successful despite tentacles and combined brains..?)

    Bankruptcy my friend.
That bi*** had pavement burns on her asp a few months later when the Baker county sheriff drug her out of the banks new house.
The same sheriff dept that kept me from collecting my personal items.
It was my house that I gave back to the bank.

I never got my personal items back. Some items were found in the local pawn shops. The Baker county sheriff was alerted but they never pursued.
Warning to all, Never get involved with anything in Baker county Florida.
I was just happy to get out alive.

That was near 30 years ago.

    Ouch, not a happy ending..
I had a few divorces too, but simple enough, we lived on a boat, I gave her my half of the boat, packed my bag and walked off the boat and down the dock.
Last time I saw her, divorce papers in the mail, a few signatures and a Notary stamp and I was a free man again, no belongings though, we got that in common.
No more divorces, can’t afford them now.

Once the bank sold the house, I settled with them the difference and all was good.
    My signature was proved good.
That Bi*** and family was out of my life with pavement burns on their asps.
If the county sheriff was to recognize that it was my property rather than listening to that Bi***, it could been settled quicker, just a trespassing / squatter issue.
I was not from Baker county, She was. I was a looser from the start.
Yep, In-bread, family ties and more are in Baker County FL.
