wow a name from the past, Schaefers ~ many transits of the C&D canal years back with always a FAST running current
always impressed with the flag etiquette provided to vessels transiting the canal, but no longer done with new ownership prayers offered for those involved (Amen)

I ve been thru woods hole a few times, current can rip!

I found some different videos on this event. Looks like out-bound current was really ripping.
Not sure if this affected the grounding. One video shows her flooded outside the red.
