I heard a positive report about painting an inflatable boat with Flexseal,...I think they are talking about the flexible rubber coating by those Gorilla glue guys. Has anyone tried this? (...mostly for cosmetic purposes)
As a last resort I tried hypalon paint a few years ago, can’t remember the brand I think it was from England. Didn’t really work and I ended up having new tubes installed.
few years ago on an older Avon inflatable dinghy did use Flex Seal Spray, (white upper ~ grey hull) actually turned out nice . key for application was being totally DRY, no dampness on material surface, also sprayed on in a hot 80 degree garage. also i believe Flex Seal now offers 11 colors .
I had a few inflatables over the years, always hypalons. Painting the tubes was never a good idea but applying Sun covers (chaps) over the tubes has added years. Sunbrella chaps seems popular among the liveaboards.
