Not sure if the picture above is visible or not.
We are anchored outside Portofino using Starlink for internet and it usually works good..

Docked at the island of Elba today. The owners call this boat a large yacht, but I call it a small cruise ship, marketing…

“Sea Dream 1”, owned and operated by Sea Dream Yacht Club. Great cruise, great service, great food, highly recommended for those who have sold their own boats and now want to relax and be pampered, like me.

 Corsica, we are anchored way out, tender rise to town. Nice Island, nice little downtown.

    Calvi, Corsica.
Anchored out, looks like a nice little town with medieval structures, most likely forts and prisons.

Tender buzzing back and forth today:
Twin Volvo diesels with outdrives, probably 7-800 hp as it gets on plane easy with 18 pax and 2 crew.

Anchored of St. Tropez, lots of big boats around here. Those who went ashore said it was too crowded. (Perhaps like Fort Lauderdale during the Big Boat Shows).
St. Tropez was a lazy fishing village but grew big and famous after a Brigitte Bardot movie called “And God Created Women” from 1956.

I should watch that movie when I get home, for good old times sake, 1956 was a good year as I was born then.

Airplane ride today over North Florida and the St. John’s River. Had forgotten how small a single engine Cessna can be on the inside, I felt like a sardine in a tin can. No private airplane for me, will stick with boats.. IMG_0318.jpeg

Ah, I righted seated a 182S for a few years. Lots of room.
That instrumentation in your picture is nice, we still had the OLD King equipment. My cell phone velcro'd to my yoke, Owner had some flight pad on his.
Many, many hops in/out of the Bahamas.

My wife sat in da rear, with our life raft in her lap. Instructions were deploy this first OUTSIDE before exiting yourself.
Always wondered why she was always nervous.
