    Russian billionaire 'owner' and his 142-meter superyacht Nord are under U.S. sanctions.
    'Owner' was sanctioned by the U.S., EU, and UK following the 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
    Vessel has been dodging seizure for 4 yrs.
    At the time - NORD... is about to pass through U.S. Naval Blockade

    It would appear the Owner has sufficient contacts to get this done. Surely it comes as no surprise that it can pass the US Naval blockade

    You could say... it was his connections and proximity to power that caused him to be sanctioned in the first place.
    These sanctioned Yachts and their owners have been running between Dubai and the Maldives for years.
    The area lacked judicial enforcment.
    This is on the other hand, is a U.S. Navy blockade... actively, and aggressively boarding and seizing offending vessels. But Not This Time…
