Question is , does anyone know for sure what hull number in 1989 that Post changed the hull design to the second chine and increased deadrise. I recently purchased the 1989 and love it so far but I am constantly looking for information on this rig. Hauled and getting ready to blast bottom and get it slick. I will chronicle this refresh on here.
Welcome to Yacht Forums. That is a nice looking bow. How about a stern picture of the hull? Engine and equipment? Brag and show her off some more. Congrads on your find and purchase.
Ours is a Gen-II, hull 43078. Another forum member has a Gen-1 (1987) and is 43072. So the hull change is somewhere in the inbetween 5 boats. https://www.yachtforums.com/threads/hull-number.37313/ Welcome and would like too see more of your 43.
Greg, my hull is 1989 - 075 in the sequence. I am posting numerous pics today of the bottom transformation. It took almost a month of laying on the ground and working hard to get it smoothed back out like it should be , but wow it looks great now. Pics to follow. I am still wondering if someone could verify that hull 075 would be a Gen II boat hull.
If it has both chines it is a Gen II Ignore the silly PO installed "spray rails", they are not original and have been removed.
Thanks to all of you. I figured this out as well. I do have the two chines and the stern is def a newer GEN II version. Again, thank you to all for the help. The progress continues. Will keep posting as progress continues.
