The latest member to the Limited Editions line has been teased although Amels has not officially released anything as yet. The design is expected to be unveiled in a few days. To date just one or two juxtaposed images have surfaced of the Limited Editions 80-meter or Amels 80. It would make it the largest Limited Editions offering superceeding the LE242 (74-meters). Not alot is known about the new vessel's design other than it is designed by Espen Oeino with an interior model concept by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. You can watch a digital unveiling in a few days at the following link. https://amels80.com
They sure didn't show much. At least it's a fairly modern, good looking yacht. Liked the top deck dining room idea.
They continue to expand the Limited Editions line. Not sure if this is how they originally intended it to be or it just blew up on them and they are continuing to run with it. Something that is Limited Edition certainly won't have dozens of hulls in service.
The first hull (8001) is now under construction. It doesn't have an owner since it is being built on spec. An owner can come onboard with delivery in 2025.
Tech launch of 8001. The first Amels 80 is afloat! Measuring 80 meters (261 feet) in length, the new hull and superstructure was seen outside of her hull build shed for the first time since the concept was introduced in March 2022. She will now journey to our shipyard in the Netherlands for final outfitting. This next-generation Amels Limited Editions, and the first of the most recent designs to be introduced, is on track to be delivered to her new Owner in 2025.
The first hull in the Limited Editions 80 has arrived at Vlissingen for final outfitting. She should be delivered in 2025. The Amels 8001 was launched from her build facility in Galati, Romania, on 27th September 2023 and was towed to the Netherlands for outfitting. Measuring 80 meters in length, this Amels 80 is the first of the most recent designs to evolve from our Amels Limited Editions range. In keeping with the Amels DNA, designer Espen Øino created a holistic and modern exterior design.
Interesting design, for the size the interior volume is quite limited. For a design that has to perform good in the charter market this is an interesting choice.
Not sure where you got these images but I'm pretty sure there was a copyright mention, in other words these are mine ...
Hm, somehow I expected it to look a lot better based on the renders. The grey superstructure doesn’t help imo. Looks way smaller than 80m…
Hey Wim, I didn't know these were your images. Whenever it is obvious, we credit the photographer for the media. Would you like them removed? You are always welcomed as usual to upload yourself
Hi, No problem at all, I would have uploaded the images myself but if possible mention maritimephoto as the credits. Some background, last Saturday (15/03) 8002 was towed out of the shed as she was blocking the 8001. In the background the ALBATROSS (after refit / relengthening) and AQUAMARINE X (Heesen) 8001 was moved to the previous 8002 berth in the shed instead of being towed outside. Yesterday 8002 was repositioned to berth 8001 when towed out after which 8002 went back into the shed.
