ok understood but 200 lb is more my 65 kg , so i might also increase one pool to 100 kg ie 200 lbs or even more if i can fit them . to install a bow in a steel hull is easy but a costly refit if done nicely.... seems that they calculate the weight if two anchors are used which i dont like when circling at night......

I want sure how to fit the bigger anchor in the pockets and then I saw a Westport in the Exumas which didn’t have any pockets, the anchors were just against the hull

did the same thing to fit the 400 pounder, we just added two SS blocks which the flukes fit against as a stop.

I did similar. Pulled pool into tightest position, marked it, dropped and added stainless angle shorts to two places to stabilize it. Really worked well

Upsizing one pool is probably a good direction. But you may not need it. Test first. 200 for me might be overkill by some percentage. What you have might work well.

You know you have the right anchor size when people laugh at it ….

What people don't realize is that sizing an anchor isn't just the weight of the boat that needs to be factored in, but also how much windage a boat has.

esp with a trawler and swinging at anchor there is some big surface and windage. so many boats have lunch hooks only......
