Been a while since I’ve posted on this forum but thought it might give me some first hand knowledge vs regurgitated Internet war stories. I am well aware of aluminum in salt and the potential for disaster. Beyond that, please educate me on the good, the bad, and the ugly of all things Broward. I’m a Hatteras guy, and have zero experience with Broward. TIA
Aluminum hulls don't mind the salt. They mind the electricity that salt water can conduct. Closest inspections on any metal boat are the tanks and bilges that can collect both fluids as well as solids. That paste helps to create a battery aboard. Look closely at tank internals, shaft and rudder logs, and electrical systems and installations. It's a good product, like Burger. It's really up to the individual vessel and her prior ownership maintenance plans and procedures. Once you've been aboard a few, the good are pretty easy to separate from the problems.
This kid used to have a Hatteras M/Y prior to this Broward and has been posting a bunch of video's of his repairs & journey's.
I know you will all find this hard to believe, but I caught the broker in multiple lies and walked. 102 named Liquidity.
Doesn't surprise me as I generally put them in the same trash bag as residental brokers. On the other hand; I gave GREAT credit to the one that was constructive in the purchase of my Bertram two years ago.
