I’m doing the calculus with respect to replacing teak decks and am considering three options. 1) Remove and replace with new teak 2) Remove and refinish area in non-skid 3) Remove and replace with new cork deck (SeaCork) Does anyone have direct experience with the SeaCork product? A couple years ago I replaced worn out teak with white Awlgrip after deciding I would never go back to real teak unless it came with a lifetime maintenance man. This AM making a template for Miami manufactured PlasDeck is scheduled after meeting the company owner and talking with the captain, (about the tests he did with the product vs. several others,) of a 70 ish spt. fish in the midst of installing the same in shown color which is one of 28 they make.
I had cork decks and cork seating areas on my Duffy: It was ok, can’t say it was great, but it did the job and held up fairly good for being exposed to sun and rain every day. Only had the boat for 3 years, not sure about longevity.
