"Ethos" ex. "Entourage" Sinking In Greece

Crazy that this could happen as its virtually an impossibility to get underway with shell doors open and not know unless safety systems were compromised as all class vessels are fitted with alarms / proximity switches and sensors on shell doors or transom doors so if this happened these systems were most likely bypassed or disabled. Most vessels engines won't start with open shell doors unless the alarms are acknowledged and over-ridden from the bridge and ECR.

Note to self. Time to test the hydraulic and 240v emergency pumps again

I watched the whole thing, tugs had nothing to do with it!

that was the reason given at the time, wasn’t it? Or was it an excuse ?
