Tacking maneuver at time frame 1:18 in this video

...and for the small test vessel with single sail at 1:20

(must have created this posting a few hours ago, and then forgot to post it ??)

I'll look up that info you suggested. I believe I remember seeing it, but it has been quite some time ago.

I knew I had seen that PDF before, in fact I posted a message about it here on this page of discussions:
    http://www.boatdesign.net/forums/sailboats/maltese-falcon-hit-miss-12459-11.html#post194148

But I am still going back and reviewing it as it has been quite some time ago.

Meantime I also found a youtube clip of a model proa with a Dynarig type sail on it.

How about scaling up this 'fenced yard' idea for a simplified Dynarig that would allow for hoisting and lowering the sail area (and yards) for various wind strengths?

Looks like HISWA removed papers from 2005 and before from their site.

Yes she is having an extensive refit done currently. Will be interesting to see what they come up with when she is completed. Hope they do not change too much.

I had no idea she was for sale. Must of been off market. I hope the changes aren’t too major on the exterior because it’s perfect the way it is. I do really hope the new owner uses MF a lot more then the previous!

A number of these links are saying videos no longer available? Is there anyway to recover them?

So sad that many of these links don't work ! I guess that is the internet rather than good old books and libraries !!

    Hi Brian,

We have no control over videos taken offline. In some cases, people cancel accounts and forget the video is not only being seen on Google, but it is displayed on other websites that publish the video too. BTW, all the 'views' you see on a YouTube video aren't just from being seen on YouTube, they are tabulated to include all the 'views' from other sites that also display the video. It's a win-win for YouTube, but for creators of content such as forums, we derive no benefit other than saving storage and bandwidth.

Hope all is well, old friend!
