In Europe, my Guzzi was faster, point to point, than our BizJet.

Space X splashed down offshore from Jax 0017 this morning.
We watched the trail in the sky rite over us and a few moments later, that sonic boom.
    Understand all passengers are safe.

Aye Capt Ralph: “ The Slow Speed, Minimum Wake” restrictions are only from May 7th to 1st September or some such thing.

Ha, rocking the boat is not a big deal, the puppy is getting her sea-legs tuned up and dialed in, and liking it a lot.
Occasionally we see 40-50’ SF or Express Cruisers plowing the ICW bow high leaving huge wakes, but not today..

Ha, easy there Capt Ralph: The pigs are still around, you can’t blame their perceived absence on Lankees, Yankees or uh, Norwegians.;)
The pigs come out from the bushes in the winter months to tear up gardens, backyards and swale grass looking for food. We hear ‘em grunting in the summer as well when walking the dog in certain areas.
Never seen a wild pig around here, but they are around for sure.
Same with deer, lots of deer families in the hood, even crossing roads in daytime, they are small and skinny, almost look like a pack of dogs.
Also had a snake come visit recently, he was nice enough but let us know to keep
distance, supposedly a highly venomous one..

Ah, there were no gardens or backyards then.

    Sheet, Looks likes #2 wife.
Vampire snake; poisons you, then sux the cash from the bank.

Hopefully you had a snake-charmer (4-10) or a shovel handy.
I wish I did... I'd be out by now.

Can you still shoot at least a B B gun in your hood without the cops getting called?

No idea about legality of using a BB gun around here but not a good idea trying
to kill him at short range with a shovel or a gun: This was a cottonmouth, deadly
    snake, won’t mess with it,
(He left after an hour or so, peaceful encounter, I didn’t try to kill him, he didn’t
    Try to kill me)

Had a new pool built recently, not impressed with the finish: Why can’t these guys make a straight caulk line…?
(I pointed it out several times before the water went in, easy to fix then. Today a guy came trying to work upside down in his knees. No cigar.)

Am I too picky, or is this normal sh!t in North Florida.?

Out of high school, I maintained trucks for a large pool company in Jax.
Learned a lot about gunite, blown with a 6-71 driven air compressor.
On slow days, I'd go out and help dig da hole, form rebar, plumb, shoot, back-fill, cap ( your problem), marcite, patio, cool-deck and landscape.

We used tile caps over the tile plates to improve that edge finish that you do not have there.
I know enough to be dangerous when it comes to built in pools.

@4:42 I see another cap crack that will come back to haunt you.

    Before I go on any more;
What was the contracted scope of finish supposed to look like here?
With out that data, I would be poorly guessing as to what you paid for.

I do fear, you got what you paid for and not a reflection of what construction quality is available in North Florida.

Brother, I don't mean to bust your chops,
Is this another recommended local job? That floor fiasco did not teach you anything?
Please check your contract for the finish specs and who is going to fix that deck/cap when it starts falling off/in.

Hmm, I never even thought my contracted scope of finish would be anything but
High standards, didn’t cross my mind that a sloppy finish would be what I signed
    for, Jeez..

    From their website:

    https://www.waldhauerpools.com/

I didn’t go shopping for the cheapest pool around, instead our builder recommended this pool contractor and we listened to them.
I fully expect the tile and grout work to be fixed/corrected shortly.

What does the contract spec on level and finish??

Brother, That toll bridge close to you is for sale, I can make you a deal..
I can write up a bill of sale tonight. You don't need any details on it either??

Same builder that put in that floor?
    Probably a cousin.

Please do not question available quality in North Florida.
It is here, you're just not getting any.
