I said in my post "Most." Most of the government and military types hired by Lockheed Martin and other defense contractors are not retired generals or admirals.

Take me for example: I was a Submarine Sonar Technician in the U.S. Navy. When I got out of the Navy, I was hired by defense contractor Vitro Laboratories in Silver Springs, MD which became part of BAE. Silver Springs, MD is a suburb of Washington, DC. I was hired for my expertise in submarine sonar systems -- nothing else. I chose the Washington, DC area for job security. Contrary to what you said, tech brains are in Washington, DC.

Other than typing out CV notes, Are you making a point?
Corruption, Waists, criminal activity is NOT in DC?
Should bad policies, investments, over spending, loss of lives be considered normal practices?

We were typing about Our Navy's Stupid Mistakes.
I was wishing for some job termination on the poor performers and enforcement for the law breakers.
The Navy is in the big picture. And I'll blame all in political and government DC.
The innocent are a minority there.

Am I making a point; reread my post. The last sentence of my previous post said, "... tech brains are in Washington, DC." You said they weren't.

You have it bassackwards! The innocent in DC are in the majority.

It's obvious that you can't give up your position that you have been promoting in this thread. The LCS program was the result of ONE person's order -- not all of DC.

There are groups that are sympathetic to what you ascribe to, yet, you never mention that you are part of any of them.

I had my credentials. Spent some time up there and in Kings Bay.
Jumped those sinking projects late 80s washed my hands early 90s.
I doubt in 45 years anything has changed.
But if you smelled roses, well good for you.
I smelled enough kim chi, durian and pao cai in my up-bringing and in DC then.

But I don't talk much about that stuff. I'm typing about the waist and corruption we are witnessing now.
Your blaming one guy (Rumsfeld), I blame the lot of them that goes back further.

Gentlemen, this thread has over 200 posts and it’s starting to take on water. Best to retire the LCS along with this thread too.
