Interesting detail...the finish to the walls of the superstructure appears to be a fluted finish rather than the regular smooth painted surface.

I couldn't disagree more. Most of the time I've spent on large yachts (I am not saying you haven't just speaking of my experience) people spent most of the time aft of the yacht especially during the day, and this was on yachts that actually had open aft arrangements etc. The ones that didn't have open aft arrangements time was spent on the sundeck and walk 2 decks down to take a swim etc. Dining was usually alfresco on shaded 2nd deck. Notice how many recent yacht launches are dedicating so much space for usage of the aft area. I've been on a boat where the forward jacuzzi near the bow was used only twice in 2 years. Obviously every custom made boat is made for a specific owner and his/her needs, but owners and managers of successful charter boats seem to agree.

I agree. There’s been a big push lately to have a closer connection with the water which is driving the aft beach clubs and the open aft areas. This has even been seen on cruise ships recently to have more guest areas as low as possible versus on their sun decks such as MSC Seaside, the Virgin ships, and Norwegian Prima all featuring pools and more extensive areas down low closer to the water.

Her owner is Celerius Management Partnership. They hired the French designer Joseph Dirand for the Celerius project

Wonder what all the detractors say now. I remember when she initially launched several didn't like it.

I feels to me like an amalgam of 21st century super-yacht with 1920 commuter yacht. If that classic aesthetic was the goal of the owner, then I'd say they are probably quite happy with the end result.

Though maybe one didn't scale up well to the other, in the eyes of some? But hey, we're not the ones that signed on the dotted line.

This yacht and this thread about the yacht might be solid proof that beauty is in the eye of the beholder... Never fails.
I look at it and see the most elegant gorgeous designs of the recent years, and some people have such negative thoughts about it. Hopefully the owner and his family likes it:)

I hope they don’t like it. That way, we can see them sell it and hopefully show off the interior!

I know that Joseph Dirand is responsible for the exterior and interior, but since the first time I saw her, I had the impression that I had already seen that design somewhere. Today, I found out where I had seen her before.
In June 2017, Laurent Giles unveiled a 110m high-efficiency superyacht called Hemy. If you look at the overall design, especially the hull design, you will see that the similarities are visible and striking...in my opinion...

    Here you'll find Hemy project:
