    Dear Members,
    I would like to know the details on the propulsion of the Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit exploration cruise ships. Can someone tell me where to find this information please?
    Best regards,

    Thank you for the answer.
    I had understood that the propulsion was Azipod, but more precisely, how is Azipod supplied with energy?
    TIA

    From the ABB website, but without specific info on the gensets;

    "Seabourn has chosen ABB’s proven power and propulsion technology for the 23,000gt ships that integrates main generators, switchboard, convertors, bow thruster motors and the remote control system in a single package, plus twin 6MW Azipod® propulsion units."

    Thank you. I had seen that too.
    It's the rest that intrigues me.
    What is this power supply technology?

    You can call it diesel-electric, the second most common on ships...

    Thank you AMG.
    What would be the power and consumption of these hybrid machines?
    It seems that this data is surprisingly confidential in this case.
    I would be very happy if anyone has more details.
    TIA

    2x6MW is the pod power and the gensets are most likely also for the ships domestic needs, nothing really secret..?
