    New update:
Working on the next floor. From this on I'll print 2 decks at once to give a bit more structural integrity.

Might take a while for the next update as there is plenty of fixing with the 3d model first.

Thank you. I'm sure it will look better when ready. Resin printer would do a much better job but... Can't have it all.

And now for some smaller parts. The propellers are actually rotating. They are not fixed.

Time for some new parts update. Still not glued just a bit sanding to see how it forms. Over hdri images as orange pla is not the best material for photos.

Yep, have fixed the model and now its in 5 pieces. Two of them printed and 3 to go. Takes 12 hours to print one section.
After this is the most difficult part in printing. The small details. Looks like i have to print them in resin.

New update. The final big part is missing. Then I have to decide if I'll print the smallest parts or not.
You guys have to excuse me for just using tape to hold parts. Didn't want to glue them yet and don't know a better solution.

The blue stripes on the table will go to the side of the hull. Not sure what are those in real life.

I need to do much before the glue phase. This is just to see if the edges are flush.

Priming will bring lots of details as this orange color seems to bee too transparent and the surface is doing some optical illusions.

The last part will be blue filament. 1kg orange is gone.

Hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

Thank you. Today printed the final smallest parts. Only the anchor is missing. Will start sanding and glueing parts.

    Will take a long time.

    Hello friends. It's update time.
The ship is now sanded and glued. It's in two sections top and hull. I might keep it that way if I decide to add lights later on.

So far all good. Next is the filler and sanding. This phase I have to do well as there where some small gaps and holes.

By the way those small tiktak plastic holders are very good to keep small parts. Those small details will be glued when filling and sanding is done.

I'm very satisfied. There are some ugly details but... Naah..

Considering that I have never build a scale model, and this is my second big print. It's for myself and I'm happy.

The first was the Eagle transporter from Space 1999 series. Some of you might know.
Got it ready like a month ago. Still needs some small painting.

    Have a nice weekend.

    Hi friends.

Just some minor update for the yacht 3d print project. I'm still building it. If you guys wonder why there are no updates.

Just have to practice and find a good way to use putty. Did some experimenting and they did not work. (not with the real model, used some leftover prints) Have never used putty before.

Meanwhile decided to finish this puppy. It's my first big 3d print and actually my first ever build scale model. Yes I know my painting is very bad. :) shaky hands.

Learned so much from this and can apply those to the yacht project.

    Its theEagle 1 transporter from Space :1999. It's a British sci-fi series from 70's

So shortly I will apply the putty to the yacht and prime it.

    Till then.

    Hi folks,
Some small progress is happening. Have been busy with my toddler.

Sanding and filling done. Maybe one more filling and sanding and then priming.

I'll cut a hole on top after painting and add the windows from inside.
