How did she gain over 100 tons from 12 feet? I mean, the Trinity webpage lists her as 125 Tons, and the New Boat international webpage lists her as 477,xxx lbs. Does Anyone Have the Boat International Article that was published in '99? And post your pics of her. Thanks!!!

This is a question, in the yachting and ship world do they use:... 2,000# (short ton USA) or 2,240# (Long ton or imperial ton) ????????
Hi, Neither when referring to Gross and Net Tonage , they are both volumetric measurements. Displacement Tonnage is the volume of sea water (1.025 sg) that the vessel displaces calculated by volume and multiplied by the sg to give a figure. And then of course is the Tons of AC but you should be able to answer that one going by some of your previous very informative posts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tonnage
Thats the Jim Smith built Marlena, not the Trinity built Marlena. The Jim Smith boat is cold molded, the Trinity is Aluminum.
