A better look at the Delta Yachts... main 'tender'.

One of the better videos I've seen for a yacht of this size! Still looking great after all these years. She is currently in Panama. Glad she hasn't become a marina queen.

cool video thanks for sharing. As for the tender she is a big downgrade from Man-O-War in my opinion...

I can't say i'd agree with you. "Man-o-War" certainly was more charming and traditional but this new one is a Delta 88... I didn't know the marina could hold such a large craft. I'm guessing the new owner got rid of the submarine and that allowed the marina to be lengthened.

Well, I for one can, instead.
The new tender looks like a 54' to me, not an 80' - which is actually what they call 88.
Hence actually smaller than the previous 62'.
Besides, with respect for Delta, a fully custom boat built by Vikal and powered by MTUs on waterjets is quite simply in another league, imho.

I'd say you're right... it's definitely not the Delta 88 (in the above video).

    Delta 54: LOA 59.4'
    Delta 88: LOA 84.4'

I don't know what happened to the Vikal, but the Delta 54 is replacing a 43' custom Hinckley...

    Just went and double checked....

"Man Of War 2" (the tender onboard as of 2020) was a Hinckley Talaria 43’ powered by twin FPT C90 650HP 6 cylinder diesels & Hamilton 322 water jets.

Beautifully produced video, The builders of both before and after tenders Hinckley and Delta make wonderful boats so I don't know if its really a downgrade or not but rather more of a personal opinion of traditional varnished lumber vs a more modern aesthetic. What did catch my eye though is that pathetic piston powered eggbeater of a heli Robertson 22 buzzing around. I figured for a vessel of this stature they would at least come up with a EC or better. Only a matter of time before that Robertson corkscrews out of the sky and stains the deck...:)

Most recently it's carried two Eurocopter 145s, matching liveries and all...

The R22 does look out of place, doesn't it? LOL

Yes, glaringly so out of place. Any helicopter that uses Gates rubber & fabric V-belts to drive the main rotor clutch assembly to keep it airborne as the R-22 & R-44 do wouldn't get my vote of confidence to stay airborne and empirical data proves that track record. Never understood why the FAA wouldn't or didn't step in to make them safer. Now back to big yachts...

Its all subjective obviously but like @mapism said I think this Delta is smaller than 88 and fully custom Vikal is special to me on any given day. What a great yacht octopus is though I think that we can all agree on.

Octopus will be at the central berth on the Quai Rainier 1er during the Monaco F1 GP. I can’t wait to see her towering over the harbour. :D

Can't miss her... in every shot from Monaco that shows the harbour, there's no question where Octopus is tied up!
