Alamshar I didn't realize that somebody was still working on this technological misfit. I thought it was scrapped years ago. As far as I remember, this project was born as a competition between the original owner and some Royalty about the ownership of the fastest boat in the Med. If you think about a problem, a boat can have due to construction errors and lets say less than perfect engineering and production, this boat had them all. After one larger mishap, the original owner tried to find a new yard in, lets say Northern Europe, to finish this project. But even the yards, that knew him as a loyal client, refused, because of the trouble, that could already be forseen with this project. For example, the gasturbines did not have enough air to breath and breath freely, they overheated, caught fire. The whole propulsion train was trouble prone. Just an endless list. If they did not completely redesign the engine room setup and the propulsion train, we will hear again from some fire on this boat in the future.
"Vava II" seen arriving in Fort Lauderdale... tight berthing spot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=10&v=UvfHikTwKG4
Sarafsa is for sale and the first interior photos are available. Not my taste but interesting indeed. http://www.royaleoceanic.com/explore-yachts/m-y-sarafsa/
Looks like the listing has been taken down....and the interior pics that were posted on another site have also been removed.
If you want the pic of the main lounge just google Royale Oceanic Sarafsa... I wonder why they would list it and then take the listing down?
While it is here, those who havent already might want to download this. http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...yachts/m-y-sarafsa/+&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us
It would appear that those advertising it for sale do not in fact know how it actually runs given some of the info published.
The 77m "Samar" is now listed for sale asking 99 Million Euros. Also, it's the first time I am seeing her interior. https://cecilwright.com/sales/samar
"Vava ii" was here earlier this month. I didn't see where she went as she had her AIS off but clearly we see she crossed the pond.
Burgess even notes that it's a good refit opportunity in the listing. She's recently been at the center of dispute between her owner and a Swiss bank.
