    Working on purchasing 6 figure boat in South Florida; no brokers involved. Any suggesting's including surveyor for vessel and Detroit DDEC's ?

    ASAP Marine Documentation is a closing agent that also will hold escrow funds.
    Florida Nautical Surveyors. Speak with Malcolm Elliot and be sure to tell him your are a fellow YF-er.

    I am surveying some MTU's down there in 2 weeks, using FDDA. They can do the engine survey/work.

    Evidently they can not but referred me to RPM in Ft. Laud., "a dealer of theirs," in which case would add many hours of driving time but thanks anyway. Can't help thinking there must be Detroit people in Miami area.

    Let me ensure I'm reading correctly; FLDDA can not survey Detroit engines?

    At 60 feet plus, there is a reef club that can survey them.
    If they are not under a warranty program, 60'+ is where they belong.

    Sorry, but there seems to be issues up here in the swamp on used HP merc outboards past warranty.
