10 plus years ago I made some repairs to our swim platform. Epoxied on some fresh plywood scabs, sealed, painted and went to the islands.
Started poking around the other day at some lifting paint.
    Oh Sheet.

Plywood rot just will not stop.
Came in, and started sending request for new platform estimates.
Some great shops quickly started responding.

    Oh Sheet 2..
From $11k to $14K to replace this with synthetic coring.
I'm sure beautiful work but I can not go there.

After much deliberation and rum, decided to build a whole new one, out of plywood.
After all, most of this platform is 42 years old, my repairs are around 10 years old.
I figure, if it last 10 years, I'm ahead and not out 10 to 13K$.

Since I'm near 17 feet wide back there, planning on over - lap laminating a few sheets over each other making a super long and wide plywood sandwich.

Anybody see any wide asp platforms out there (cheap) before I start this adventure?

I bought one last year from Butler Marine Proucts for around $3,000 but it was only 11'.

I think a Gator took a bite out of your platform....

I would re-repair what you've already got. Does not look that bad overall. Build a new platform? Not good for your health. Asp kicker of a job.

Thru the weekend with the help of much Medicinal Libations, I came to this same conclusion.
Thank you my friend for reminding me of my thoughts (It's been a rough Monday)...

Do you need a swim platform? Perhaps just remove it?

    Sadly, it is required.
