I have a new 64 Sirena. The fresh water system onboard produces an irritating gas that bubbles up in the water from every tap. I have followed all sirenas instructions for flushing the tank and lines with very limited results. Any ideas from Sirena owners

When you say gas, do you mean air or is there a smell?

what kind of water pump do you have ?

If air gets sucked in the pump, it has to be between the tank and the pump. Check the strainer before the pump to make sure the gasket or o ring is on correctly

Is it a foam? If so, the hot and cold water lines might still need to be flushed more to get the antifreeze type stuff they add in there completely flushed out.

It foams up and leaves a chemical odor that has a chemical smell that actually leaves a acid like feeling in the nostrils and throat

Where are you getting the water from that you're filling the tank? Is it at a marina with CITY water, or are you filling the tank with well water? Are you using a hose rated for DRINKING water and flushing the hose out for a minute or two before filling the water tank with it?

How many times have you flushed the tank out? I would probably think you'd have to do it 6-10 times. What material is the tank made from?

You said it is a "NEW" boat. Where's your dealer? They should be helping you with this

Sounds like you just need to flush all your hot and cold water lines throughout the boat until it is gone. Can take quite a few tanks as others have stated for it to go away.

That sounds VERY worrying, particularly in a new boat.
Whatever the reason, I would involve the dealer as Dockmaster suggested, even before attempting repeated flushes or any other DIY fixes. And with a written notification.

i have notified the dealer many times and they say flush flush flush. It’s a 400 gal tank. I have emptied it at least 6 or 7 times then after a couple days the same issue returns. The dealer is Sirena Yachts Ft Lauderdale Fl

Is there a water filter somewhere that serves the whole boat's freshwater system? I had a bad carbon filter on my galley sink that added a lot of bubbles and a definite taste. Replacing it solved the issue.

Who does provide the service for Sirena? What yard do they use?

Is the tank fiberglass? It sounds like it is and the epoxy/paint/gelcoat etc. they coated the inside with wasn't mixed properly and is off-gassing. Call the dealer and tell them to get somebody to the boat to fix it.
