What’s the going rate for monthly diver cleaning services in SoFl ? My current diver has been become unreliable ... new one is quoting $2.5 a Ft for my 53 and $4 a ft for the 110 I run. Is that in the ballpark?
Yes. I have been paying $2.50 per foot, plus tips for the last few years. Not sure about big boats, 16 years since I managed the Johnson 70. Ms. G Divers quoted me $110.00 recently to clean my 28’ Albin, $3.9 per foot. I am sure the results would be spectacular, but my $2.5 per foot guy is doing just fine.
Wow, that is stiff, no running gear, just the hull. (You got trim tabs on the tub?) I will fix ya up with my guy $2.50 guys, great job, always show up on time.
If he also does weekly washdown, I'm interested. But I'd rather keep it all under one roof. And yes, there are trim tabs.
Yeah, but I'm a real pain in the a$$. I've been a yacht captain for 25 years, so when I step aboard my boat I want it perfect. He even details the head.
Yes, your prices are way in the ballpark pascal. A 53'-80' size yacht has been $3-4 a foot here on a monthly for several years. As for $100 to wash a 28' center console. Those takes A LOT of time to do right, with all of the hatches and hatch gutters, fish boxes etc. I could wash a 45' Tiara express in the same amount of time.
Then your prices sound about right for your area. Likely would run a little more in South Florida as $2-2.50 has been the rate 50' and less and $3-4 as the size increases. Even on a package deal of 7 boats, we're paying $2.50 for under 50' and $3 for 52-65', $3.50 for 70-100' and $4 for over 100'. However, we feel we're getting extremely good work.
I pay $0 for dive cleaning as our cold water doesn’t grow enough stuff to worry about. I guess that’s one of the benefits of putting up with our cold, wet weather.
I was paying 4 a foot in north palm and in Hilton Head. I had props removed up north that was all out half as much as Mrs Gs. But let me tell you. You make it south Florida is expensive, but you have access to people that know what they are doing. I have a 8K into a generator making no progress on what’s wrong. with the folks up in South Carolina
