    Nobody knows.
Mr A wanted them, coupled with a pair of retractable fins, both on Eclipse and Luna. Now he opted for a simple pair of retractable fins.
I don't think Mr A has any sort of money problems, so I was wondering about the effectiveness of that solution.
Normally if something works well...why change it?

I am wondering if the 'arch' by the pool is a permanent structure, something that maybe you can attach party lights, sun awnings that type of thing to?

I think so. I wrote about it in a post. I think the arch comes from a Newcruise's project called Explorer 120.
Newcruise yacht design was responsible for the exterior design of Luna, so Abramovich could have implemented on Solaris something he saw during the design phase of Luna.
Here the article I posted about Explorer 120, you can see the idea of an arch..

I too am curious about the arch thing above the pool. We shall see if it is permanent or is temporary. I am liking what I am seeing so far. Excited to see the finished product.

Yeah in the third hi-res photo, zoomed all the way in you can really tell it is a finished permanent structure.

The only thing keeping it from being a 'real' hangar is because it doesn't have a door to fully enclose the space? She is still being worked on, let's wait and see if any thing will be installed.

That's it. I have in mind what happened to Mr A in Dubrovnik. He got a heli removal with a huge crane because the heli was damaged during a storm that hit Dubrovnik.
A shelter can help, but what if you are in the middle of the sea during a storm with winds blowing from the stern?

Not much really happens when you are that high up and also protected. It likely will just be pulled into that spot once folded such as with Bold.

I remember another article talking about the damage. The heli suffered severe damages to both the main rotor and the tail rotor blades.
The main rotor blades were folded but the storm was too strong.

The name of this yacht is now officially "Solaris" as the wrapping has been taken off the stern plate. But of course we knew this before.

I have been wondering why Solaris (or her owner) only needs 6 medium sized sat domes while other yachts i.e. Nord have in addition 4 extra large ones. Could Solaris have a flat panel system (Kymeta?) integrated into her "arch"? Or are those big domes mainly for show?

Remember when you see a large yacht with multiple domes, sometimes it maybe for style to bring a bit of symmetry to the mast area but alot of the time it is redundancy as well as to be able to switch over to which ever dome is in the clear viewing the sat. A huge mast like what Solaris has an other large yachts depending on where the yacht is on the globe as well can block the signal or view to the sat so when that is the case they usually switch to another dome that is in clear view. Plus, each owner's needs are different too.

Is embarrassing and curious how many domes (small, medium, big) Dilbar has. I counted 19 of them.
