Does anyone have a good recommendation for a fiberglass repair and paint yard capable of working on a 58' LOA boat in the Chesapeake area (prefer mid-to-northern bay)? Looking for quality and professionalism, not the lowest price.

It opened after I left Maryland, so I've never been there, but Hinckley Yachts has a service yard in Oxford Maryland.

Worton Creek Marina in Worton (Upper East Shore) does outstanding work. They have a small army of craftsmen that know their stuff, under the leadership of an owner who has done some amazing projects over the last half century plus. I've seen a 70' Hatt in their paint shop. Because of that he is busy. Don't be in a hurry.

Not anymore. AFAIK, They moved out and that yard is for sale. Osprey Composites at Herrington North does good work.

Interesting. A few years ago I had a line on a boat that was in dry storage there, the deal fell thru, so I had no reason to keep track of the yards status.

Call Justin at Clarkes Landing in Shady Side, MD. Go in at high tide...the water is skinny. They have a guy that does very good work. He did a major repair for me and looked great for a good price.

Just saw your post today. if you are still researching yards I highly recommend Haven Harbour in Rock Hall. I feel Rick Norduf is the best in the business and had him perform fiberglass work on my vessel. I have also seen his paint work and it is perfection. Hope this helps if still needed.

Thanks very much. Yes, I'm still doing research and will add Haven Harbour to my list.

I have not, but my friend who is beyond picky, has done business with them and was happy. I was there for the haulout and was under the impression they knew their stuff.
