    Good observation, exactly what I found. Boats from the better PNW/BC builders are hard to come by. I'll find out more when I fly out.

    Never had the chance to fly a DC-8.
    But have many hours in a DC-9 & most Boeing's, many hours in Bizjets also.

    My Avatar is a Delta Airlines Convair 880 departing from IAH's rwy 8 in 1972, found it a avation magazine. (Way before photo shop). It's a actual event from when flying was fun :) As the story was written, the photographer went into the Delta crew-room looking for some pilot to take some shots. A old captain came up to him, said he would do it. The photographer ducked when the 880 came overhead at 20' doing about 140 knots.:)

    Wow, heads-on shot..:cool:

    I got 220 hours on the DC-8, great plane.
    A few pilot types here on the Yacht Forum, I am the laid back one, retired early, no more jet lag, staying at sea level now, all good.
