Heh! The "Captain" and his wife on Lady Catherine are the owners. They are talented, very capable stewards. Is she still on the hard? I really need to get by and see them.
Minnow is in stunning condition. I sold both of these to their respective owners.

All three of these were in pretty nice shape from my view.

    Hi Manusel,
I was hoping Sea Eric would know the answer to your question. I was told that the Aurora was built in 1947 by a spectator.

The Captain of the Lady Catherine told me his Trumpy was a 1947 boat as well.

The Captain, I believe he knows his boat, the spectator .... maybe, maybe not ! :)

Aurora IV, 1955, as Glory. 68 gt, 64'

Aurora, I find 2 builds under that original name. Don't find the present Aurora listed for '47?
61' , 1958, renamed Marcoo, Litchfield Lady, Bernadette
    65', 1963, renamed BB Sea

    Aurora V, 1969 for J. Trumpy, 47 gt, 58', renamed Natalie Michelle, Aurora V

I've only just seen this thread now that it has been revamped.
Very nice vessel, that Minnow in post #381.
But I can see neither an anchor nor any ground tackle, and I don't think anyone in his right mind would handle an anchor manually, at that size.
Is anybody aware of some sort of trick that I am missing?

If you're talking about the Minnow in #381 that's what the forward davit is for. You can see the capstan for the windless in one of the pics. No way do they want to bring an anchor near that beautiful hull. If you're talking about the Enticer she's got an anchor on each side but they're painted white so may be hard to see.

Yes, that's the boat I was referring to.
A davit for handling the anchor? Now, that's an idea that I'm not surprised to have never seen in any other boat.
Not to mention a capstan which can only be used for a line and not for chain.
But I guess it's the whole boat that isn't meant to compete in any practicality contest, not just the ground tackle! o_O
