I have a reciept for those things in my file that i will get tomorrow but J &T wil knw what you mean if you call them.
Yes ! Lol Just explain to them what it is .They will know what you’re talking about. I use J&T office in Mt. Laurel NJ Ask for Jeff Knot at the parts counter. He’s one of the older guys there that knows the 71s...
Stop solenoid linkage. I cannot find a receipt for mine but know that they knew what I wanted and I replaced both at the same time. I went through the NJ J&T office also. They are the best ones around here.
When you install them, don't make the assembly really tight. Leave just a little slack at the ball and nylon fitting and it will last longer. Too tight and the vibration will wear the nylon socket out pretty quickly. The solenoid should have plenty of travel so that a tiny bit of slop will not affect it. I make them so I can turn the ball in the socket with my thumb and forefinger easily, just before it really takes up. Good luck !
Appreciate it..banged the socket down a little for now to hold the ball in place...have some zip ties on there also...lol...waiting JT to call back so I can order the parts
Fyi...still havent heard back from j&t after 3 phone calls...the smack with the hammer has worked as we just returned from our trip and 43+hours more on the clock
What are you smacking with a hammer? The shutoff lever just requires a push by hand to shut down. Was I gone this long?
Hi capt. Ralph!!! The ball and socket attached to the stop solenoid had an issue...the socket wallowed out and the ball fell out...smacked the socket down so the ball would not fall out and put a few zip ties on it to hold it together...trying to order replacement ball and socket
Are you asking for Jeff at the Mt Laurel office ? They can be a bit lazy on the call backs. Also try Diesel Pro power on line in Miami Fla. Or J & T ‘s Baltimore office .
Any company that fails to return 3 calls is not a company to do business with. If that's how they react when you're trying to buy imagine how they'll be if you have a complaint.
