Don't forget the twin 50 amp shore powers. Yeah, the electrical does take some getting used to.

Depending on the marina you can usually run one unless you're going to use the clothes drier, sometimes the stove, often the A/C. With Valhalla we generally ran out both if we could get (2) 50's. Otherwise no A/Cs. She definitely hogged shore power with 5 air conditioners.

In some dodgy marinas around the world, 2 lines is the only low-power options.
In one marina, we plugged-in and the Town lights dimmed.

On a 58' Yachtfish, it only had a single 50 amp. (Same boat as 53' Hatteras, but with a cockpit). You could run all of the A/C's and water heater, but couldn't run stove or washer dryer in addition to those.

Guess it was salads and sandwiches for dinner in summer. lol. The 56' FBMY had twins.

We never cooked on that boat. But if running the washer/dryer, we'd just shut down 1 a/c system......or run the generator.

Like I said, the electric takes some getting used to. When we first got her we were popping breakers everywhere we went and couldn't run the a/c from shore. Turned out she was wired wrong at the panel. Had a couple of yards who couldn't figure it out. Finally the guy who built her in 1981, and was now working for Bennett Bros. in Wilmington figured it out. Each line was feeding one side and the side with the a/c's came up short on juice. Probably that way since '81 and before some appliances were added. He joined both sides to give us 100 amps or either line would give us 50 amps for the whole panel.

I think most boats have issues it seems like builders and marinas don’t get the memo.

my 53 only has a single 50amp and it s not enough even before I upgraded the air con to chillers. At least now i can just turn off one chiller and everything stays cool while cooking, especially at night.

Same on the lazzara I run, on the single 100 amp. The two chillers and basic loads use about 75 to 80amps. What a pita in summer.

That's right, yup. I called him Prime Time, he was cool with that. Lol.
Anyway I caught him cleaning up his entire 50 amp shore power cord one time , so you know what kind of owner he was. Very meticulous .
I told him '' You can come over to my boat and help me scratch away on my deck if you have nothing better to do!''- I was in the process of prepping my boat for paint at the time.
