Glad to hear that. Sounds like you really hit the mark with the repower and really cannot ask for more, much better fuel economy and speed, new equipment, everything seems to be working as it's supposed to right out of the box (even props). I bet your family will have a great time on the boat.

Sounds like you a achieved the best results possible - exceeding your expectations If you fill out a speed vs rpm chart, make sure and do a two way run to eliminate current effects. Happy boating!
This is a good idea, as the motors are new, bottom is clean, etc. I'd also write down all pressures and temperatures. Start at 1000 rpms and do 5 minutes every 200 rpms.
Cat should have the data on lap-top. Ask them for a thumb drive copy and print out. Good to compare to in the years to come.
Agreed. Very worthwhile effort, albeit minimal effort. Will give you a terrific reference material for trips, planning, and you'll be quick to identify the sweet spot for your own vessel's setup. Further, you'll be able to identify problems going forward, be them in the engines or on the hull. I recall my sweet spot was in the low 70% load range, but every boat and setup is unique. Best of luck. Also noteworthy, I developed a strong opinion that the noise made by my Cats raised fish. I hope you find the same.
The inline-6 C18’s just have a unique mechanical ‘symphony”. Hard to be as smooth as a V engine but they have other attributes that shine in an engine room, especially more space between the engines for the guys that like to check things out themselves.
Got my complete survey and valuation done. Boat was rated "above average" overall which is one step under Bristol as the highest. Not a single recommended repair or change and lots of comments of things like "exceptional" and "very good" and "outstanding" from surveyor. Valuation increased by $240k. Surveyor went $65k higher than my suggested valuation and he really wanted to go higher. He said this was lowest he could go and should be higher. I didn't push him either way and let him decide where to go. So I guess it's time to close this thread then. This has been a very fun project and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. For me, I like the project aspect almost as much as the outcome. We are already discussing the next projects. I'll start a thread but here's the current plans for this off-season which starts now unfortunately due to COVID. 1. Renew flybridge console. Glass in all holes, raise the dash some, relocate items and increase seating height of bridge settee for better visibility for guests. 2. Install SeaDeck or similar on flybridge deck 3. Replace cockpit teak with SeaDeck or similar 4. Fabricate and install hinges for fishbox lids

All final values at or improved from what I reported already. With a little playing around I can pretty easily get to 28 knots cruise at 80% load, right about 42 gal/hr per side. . I was mostly cruising around 70%-72% load at 25-26 knots burning 35 gal/hr. Yes, all certified by CAT. Got all my final documents. The most important of which is my 5 year Platinum protection warranty certs. Of which, I hope to never need
Those are GREAT numbers. I'd be extremely happy with the results compared to what you had with the 12v92's.
