Did any of you actually get a hold of the Factory and purchase hatches? I have been leaving message for two weeks.. nothing back yet. Thought my originals were repairable, as they current do not leak, but after further review... not so much.

Last time I tried I got right through and they had a few already made and would make more if needed. They were not cheap. This was in the fall.

I had a number of other Post questions and they went out of their way for me, even contacting an old former Post employee to find out how some invisible-to-me wiring was run.

They answered each time I called but the person they direct me to has not yet called back. I will try again. Who did you deal with for buying the hatches. Maybe I can ask for them directly.

    Was $650.00 each the number?

They are better construction than the originals, and use the original hardware. Sometimes contact with Worton Creek is hit or miss. I was going to post some pictures here, but don't have time to resize them.

I had zero luck finding anyone to reproduce the plastic portion of the hatches. If you want original, Worton Creek seems to be the only supplier.

Hi Bob, Thanks for your reply I had a guest put his foot through the plastic portion of the hatch and then brought it to a local plastic place where they cut it out and then inserted/"welded"new clear plastic it actually came out very very nice And has worked well for a couple of years anyway. If you want I can send you a picture of it just text me or email me@ donsym@gmail.com

It appears Worton Creek has completely given up on Post.

Lol! He will never build a new Post unfortunately. Ain't gonna happen unless some else buys the molds and builds them.

I lost all hope when they spent all that money to rebuild that totaled Spencer. They actually think someone is going to pony up $7 million for a salvaged yacht. They could have built a new Post for what they spent. The Post brand is now well and truly dead.

Also , don't forget the other totaled boats there to rebuild; a real PT boat; two 80'+ Burgers, Prowler, and something else I think...an old Hat or something, maybe a Cheoy Lee . I can't remember. All that and a boat yard /marina to run. Just to much going on and not enough money and skilled labor to do the work.
That Spencer would sure look good in your slip Double B!:)
